Off the beaten path in Fauntleroy Park I encountered a little Anna’s Hummingbird sitting still in the salmonberry and Elderberry bramble. I hurried to get some shots and a little video because the odds were he would zoom off.

Instead he stayed put and did what his mom told him….. got to preening and plumping his feathers into good order.
