We play with ducks when we bathe. This duck is doing a little of his own splashing around in a lagoon at Discovery Park. This is a bit of water between the beach and Puget Sound.

The trail passes on the east side of it. As I walked along I noticed this family of Mallards sunning and preening themselves.

It started with a little flapping and splashing by one of the boys

Then he took a little spin around the pond.

Next he started to warm up the splash machine again.  See how the water is starting to oscillate?

Then he went into full-blown splashing around.
