The baby crow season has been kind of slow for this crow lover. That ended yesterday while I was wandering around the neighborhood. I found my first baby crow of 2017.
Actually I heard him first. He was crying the baby crow tune of momma momma come feed me. To most just looking at him you would say that is just a crow. He is the size of an adult but the give away if you watch them is they are clumsy and naive.
He was in a tree that in past years I have seen nests and other baby crows. Some lucky family has staked this out as their territory and have passed it down from generation to generation. It is a tall evergreen with lots of forks just right for a nursery.
Hearing and seeing is worth a million words, so here is my short video of him singing for his dinner.
