Go back a few weeks to my story about the worm-eaten log with big spikes in it. I commiserated about this log’s story. What is my Story?
I was somewhat surprised that the log moved down the beach in the recent storms. Having taken pictures and looked it over carefully before, I instantly recognized it. Today it is caught in a pile of driftwood that is captured by a large rock on the beach. This rock for years held High Tide Fort, a huge log and root-ball in place. Then came a huge storm several years ago with a king tide. High Tide Fort log is now down the beach stuck in a minor landslide. Here is a link to the article on that King Tide.
The story continues with our “What is my Story Log” helping to reform High Tide Fort. Of course it could just move further down the beach on its adventure. Time will tell.
