Here is a lovely visual of jars full of nails and screws I found at an Estate sale. An old-fashion solution to storing hardware. Enjoy this historical look at peanut butter and mayonnaise jars.
My daddy did something similar, he cut a disc out of plywood and fastened the jar tops to the disc. Then he mounted the disc with a bolt through the center underneath a shelf in the garage. He made several more both for his own use and for neighbors.
He also made a plywood holder that held several “Twinkle!” (copper cleaner) containers that he mounted on the wall above the basement steps.
Now mind you, he RARELY actually used anything he saved but he was ready.
